15 August 2021: The twelve tribes of CasaBo

Today we just stopped moving, charged all our electrics and did nothing on a boiling hot day. Just relaxed and stopped moving. It was most necessary. By the evening, batteries restored, we are bored silly from just sitting and raring to go again.

As a baby step, we decide to split up the land into twelve sections so when we talk about it, we both know which section we’re talking about. Four parts are named after our parents. Four parts are named after our children. Four parts are named after key influencers in our lives.

The parts are as follows:

The entrance to the first field is called Beryl because CasaBo is named in honour of her.

The next field is called Andy, because he has the most energy of anybody we know, and this is the field in which we plan to site our solar panels.

Next to Andy is Adam who has a love of camping, and this is going to be the field for anybody who visits us and wants to camp or glamp.

Next to Adam is Hope who has grown so much in the last few years and will be the place for our vegetable garden.

Next to Hope is Mike, and this is where our dream home will be built. Mike has taught us more than anyone in the universe how to create the life of our dreams, and we are eternally grateful.

The area of land next to Mike is called Maureen because it is the best place to see the sunrise, and Maureen gets up earlier than all of us.

Next to Maureen is Holly, and is where our pool is going to be, and Holly is quite insistent that we need a pool!

Just a little further up the land is Peter, which is the best place to take a picture of the sun setting, and Peter is renowned for his (many) sunset photos.

Next to Peter is Tony and is where the largest cork oak tree is to be found. Tony took what acorns of financial abundance we thought we had and turned them into the oaks of this dream.

Just up from Tony and Peter comes Henry. An area that is slightly hidden away and full of surprises and wonder.

Next to Henry is Rachel whose field is full of adventure and pushing limits, which she has done all her life.

Ah, CasaBo, you’ve got my heart

Last, but not least, is Regena. This parcel of land has the most trees. Although a lot of them are olives which we know Reg doesn’t like, she will love this place for the calm that it brings to the soul.

The land is in the shape of an anchor – which also feels poignant – and hopefully one day we will show you a map with the different areas marked on it. Until then I would urge you to just use your imagination.  It is perfect.
